Hair- It’s often the first thing that people notice, so let’s make it look amazing!

 

I always wanted a career in hairdressing from when I was in high school. I started my apprenticeship at age 16 in Newcastle and knew immediately that I was taking the right path. I did my first 2 years of my apprenticeship here and then the bright lights and big city was calling me to learn more in Sydney to finish my apprenticeship.

 

One of the first things I learnt and still believe today is when cutting hair, don’t break the rules before you know the rules! My foundation was built on perfecting cutting hair. I love freehand cutting, this is where  I cut on dry hair which allows me to see the hair for what it is. It’s a skill I am really proud of and I feel the results speak for itself.

 

I took myself to London when I finished my apprenticeship as I wanted to learn as much as I could in the style epicentre of the world. My dream was to learn from the best, work on shows, shoots , fashion parades- and I did. I worked alongside some of the best hairdressers in the world.

 

Today I have created the salon experience where I have pulled together all I have learnt from my mentors and clients over the years. When you come to my salon it is an intimate experience where its just you and I and you have my full attention. I have a dedicated space with everything you will find in a regular salon but in my home at Valentine. I am able to offer flexible hours 7 days a week, an amazing range of hair products and services to have you feeling and looking your best at the end of the appointment.
